'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We were out on our feet - Ardley

AFC Wimbledon manager Neil Ardley paid tribute to opponents York City following his side's dramatic 4-3 extra-time win in their FA Cup first round replay at Kingsmeadow.

"York are a good team and Gary should be proud of them last night" - Neil Ardley
The hosts confirmed a visit to either arch-rivals MK Dons or non-league Cambridge City, who are replaying later this evening, in the next round.

But Wimbledon certainly rode their luck on several occasions as their plucky visitors struck the woodwork three times despite playing virtually a full game with only ten men after midfielder Scott Kerr was dismissed.

"We've got through tonight but they are out on their feet," Ardley told AFC Wimbledon's official website. "York are a good team and Gary should be proud of them last night. We can play better that but we won through and I'm proud of our boys."
