York City midfielder Patrick McLaughlin could again be in international action tonight as Northern Ireland Under-21s take on their England counterparts in a friendly at Bloomfield Road.

McLaughlin, 21, is part of a twenty-man squad arriving in Blackpool on the back of seven successive defeats, which have cost them a place in next summer's Under-21 Championship finals in Israel.

Northern Ireland manager Stephen Robinson has also included sixteen-year-old Fulham defender Liam Donnelly and uncapped duo Tom Flanagan (MK Dons) and Davis Morgan (Nottingham Forest) within his squad.

Meanwhile, England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce awards first call-ups to Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, defenders Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea) and Liam Moore (Leicester City), midfielder Will Hughes (Derby County) and Bolton Wanderers' on loan Arsenal striker Benik Afobe.

The game is being covered live on ESPN from 7pm.
