Minstermen doing the entertaining

A draw was the absolute least that York City deserved following their spirited rally at second-placed Port Vale, according to manager Gary Mills.

"We were the better team today and to go in 2-0 down was a travesty to be honest" - Gary Mills
The Minstermen recovered from an extremely harsh two-goal half-time deficit to earn themselves a share of the spoils courtesy of on loan Alex Rodman and a late equaliser from Jamie Reed.

York were certainly doing most of the entertaining in a game attended by the father of pop star and big Port Vale fan Robbie Williams, as they again dominated much of the contest.

"We were the better team today and to go in 2-0 down was a travesty to be honest," Mills told BBC Radio York. "I thought it was very a dubious penalty and we said 'let's go and win it' and that was our talk at half-time. We got the equaliser and again it's the least we deserved. I thought we were excellent today."
