Port Vale boss Micky Adams was generous in his praise for York City after taking a well-deserved point against the promotion hopefuls.

"I thought York were excellent from start to finish and we will take the point and move on" - Micky Adams
The Minstermen battled back from two goals behind at the break as first on loan Alex Rodman and then Jamie Reed fired hope into almost four hundred travelling fans at Vale Park.

"It's disappointing to lose a two-goal lead, but I thought York were excellent from start to finish and we will take the point and move on," Adams told the Sporting Life. "We struggled to get hold of the ball throughout and when we did get it we gave it away cheaply. It wasn't a good performance."

The visitors must also move on and are next in action when Torquay United make the long trip to Bootham Crescent at the weekend. The Gulls will certainly be keen for a response after crashing 4-1 at home to Southend United on Saturday.
