York City have transfer-listed striker Jamie Reed after requesting to try his luck elsewhere.

"I've told him that he can go if the right offer comes in for him" - Gary Mills
The 25-year-old has scored 25 goals in 81 appearances for the Minstermen since arriving at the club two years ago. However, over half of those games witnessed the former Bangor City marksman coming off the bench.

Both Grimsby Town and another of his former clubs, Wrexham, have been linked with a possible move, although the Mariners only recently recruited ex-York striker Richard Brodie on loan.

"There have been a couple of clubs inquiring about him and he's expressed to me that he's not happy and would like to go and play
football somewhere else now," manager Gary Mills told The Press. "I've told him that he can go if the right offer comes in for him.

"We would not be looking for fortunes but we would want some money for him," he continued. "I'd like to make it clear though that there's no animosity or problem between me and Reedy. He's just not played as much as he would have liked to."
