Adriano return unlikely

York City manager Gary Mills was refusing to rule out a return to the club for midfielder Adriano Moké although an occurrence of that was remaining unlikely.

"I had six missed phone calls from Mokes after Cambridge let him go" - Gary Mills
The 23-year-old has recently been released by Cambridge United after only joining them from the Minstermen last summer. Portuguese-born Moké managed just a couple of league starts at the Abbey Stadium until being loaned out to fellow Conference outfit Tamworth at the end of October.

But York are currently missing options out wide with the likes of Ashley Chambers, Michael Coulson and Oli Johnson all ruled out by injury and Moké is certainly one avenue of interest for their manager to consider.

"I had six missed phone calls from Mokes after Cambridge let him go," Mills told The Press. "I'm not a man who would be too proud to say 'Come on back and show us what you can do` if it came to that, but it's a bit like the Richard Brodie situation.

"It's about being 100 per cent sure and sometimes you have moved on as a club," he continued. "I know he would be cheap - that's a fact - because we wouldn't pay him a lot of money but, at this moment in time, we wouldn't be looking to do anything."
