No substitute for games - Reed
A burning desire for a regular ninety minutes of action rather than being a permanent 'super sub' prompted the recent transfer request from York City striker Jamie Reed.

But with only 36 starts for the Minstermen following his arrival from Bangor City two years ago, Reed clearly feels the time has come for him to be offered a regular opportunity to prove his worth.
"I want to be the superstar now rather than the super-sub," he told The Press. "That title is definitely something I want to look at getting rid of and I want to contribute more in a team where I can play a full 90 minutes and get the goals to go with that.
"I'm 25 now and don't want to be sitting on the bench because the next couple of years are meant to be the prime time in a footballer's career," Reed continued. "There have been a lot of ups and not many downs. I've loved every minute of it. It's just the time I need to push on in my career."
