York City are seeking for volunteers to help clear overnight snow from the pitch and surrounding areas ahead of their game with Aldershot Town at Bootham Crescent.

The surface is currently playable beneath the frost covers and club ground staff are seeking additional assistance to clear the area, having already been hard at work since early morning.

Volunteers are asked to bring shovels down to the ground and report directly to head groundsman Wayne Simpson.

Match referee Trevor Kettle is to make a further check on conditions at 12 noon.
