York City's home game against Aldershot Town is definitely on following a further examination of the playing surface at Bootham Crescent.

A second pitch inspection planned for midday has now been decided as unnecessary by match referee Trevor Kettle and the fixture is to go ahead as scheduled with a 3pm kick-off.

The club are keen thank ground staff, the volunteers and members of the coaching staff for their work in ensuring the game proceeds.

Only the games involving Northampton Town v Burton Albion and Wycombe Wanderers v Dagenham & Redbridge have similarly survived the freeze so far in League Two.
