York City are to change their shirts mid-season but it won't cost supporters who have already bought the kit anything.

The decision has been reached because of a switch in shirt sponsors Benenden Health's trading style, which incorporates a new logo for the York-based organisation.

However, supporters can exchange their old tops for the rebranded version without incurring any expense for either themselves or the club.

Fans will be allowed to swap their shirts at the club shop from 10.30am-2.30pm (with the exception of Thursday, 11.30am-5.30pm) during week days, or on match days between 1.00-3.00pm, from 28th January through to 28th February.

Any names and numbers printed on the back of existing shirts will also be reprinted free of charge, while there are no postage costs for anyone exchanging the item after originally buying through the club's official website mail order service.
