York City have signed Salford City defender Jameel Ible until the end of the season according to the Greater Manchester club's official website.

Former Stockport County centre-back Ible is described as a regular in Evo-Stik Division One North Salford's side ever since impressing whilst playing against them in a pre-season friendly last summer.

The Minstermen yesterday brought in fellow defender Jack O'Connell on a month's loan from Blackburn Rovers after already recruiting ex-Breidablik striker Ben Everson following a spell playing in Iceland.
