York City assistant manager Darron Gee is looking for a more ruthless approach from his side at Wycombe Wanderers this weekend.

"We're not pressing any panic buttons, we believe in our ability" - Darron Gee
The two clubs undoubtedly come into the contest following vastly differing fortunes last time out, with York crashing 4-1 at home to Morecambe, while Wycombe claimed an impressive 1-0 success at former leaders Gillingham a couple of days later.

"The game last week hinged on some pivotal things but one thing it showed us again was that we have to be more ruthless," Gee told BBC Radio York. "We're not pressing any panic buttons, we believe in our ability. Once you start to panic it is a dangerous game.

"We know what it takes to stay in this division and be successful," he added. "I saw their win over Gillingham and we know they're very strong from midfield."

Curzon Ashton 4 York City 1

York City produced a shockingly atrocious performance while crashing 4-1 to lowly part-timers Curzon Ashton at the Tameside Stadium.

Home striker Niall Cummins claimed a first-half hat-trick having already seen a penalty saved by the outstanding Adam Bartlett, with Sam Walker adding to it after the break.

The visitors then had leading goalscorer Jon Parkin given a straight red card before new signing Alex Kempster impressively replied on his debut after coming off the bench.
