No move from defiant Mills

There won't be any shift in approach from York City manager Gary Mills despite seeing his side extend their winless run to eight games at the weekend.

The struggling Minstermen enjoyed the early boost of an early David Stephens own-goal initially credited to Michael Rankine. But lowly visitors Barnet fought back to eventually plunder a vital 2-1 victory and further increase the pressure on Mills, who insists their recent poor record is absolutely nothing to do with formations.

"The problem we have got is that we are giving goals away at this moment in time but, if the chairman wants a 4-4-2 manager, then I'm proud of what I have done at this club," Mills told The Press. "We've got to play the system better - I know that and the players do. It's not a system problem. People have not been doing their jobs well enough in the formation we are playing."

A frustrated Mills was particularly unhappy with Barnet's winning goal scored by substitute Jake Hyde after a mix-up from a throw-in involving Jamal Fyfield and John McGrath.

"From our throw, in front of my dugout, the ball has ended up in our net within seconds," he added. "You can't be giving goals away like that at this level and get away with it, but we've been doing that for a few weeks now."
