Former York City loan goalkeeper Aaron McCarey suffered late disappointment when making his first-ever league start for Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old was recalled by his parent club yesterday following injury to Carl Ikeme and was immediately pitched into action for the League One visit to Gillingham.
He responded with a great low save from Cody McDonald after the break before home striker Danny Kedwell then struck the right-hand post.
However, McDonald finally pounced for the winner in added time as the visitors missed out on taking over at the top of the table.
