Chambers scores on debut

Former York City striker Ashley Chambers scored on his debut for Cambridge United against Luton Town in the FA Trophy third round.

But the hosts had to come back from two-goals down to earn a replay after Ryan Inniss and Alex Wall were both on target for the visitors. Cambridge full-back Greg Taylor had already missed a penalty against his former club.

However, Chambers, who was introduced as a first-half substitute after joining the club earlier this week, combined with Harrison Dunk for Tom Elliott to head a 75th minute reply.

Two minutes later Chambers raced onto a long forward ball and avoided a defender before expertly chipping over goalkeeper Elliott Justham to equalise.

Liam Hughes then nearly completed the comeback when hitting the post but the two sides must replay at Kenilworth Road next Tuesday.
