York City midfielder Adam Reed is really looking forward to going back to his roots this weekend.

"We lived about ten minutes from the ground when I was growing up" - Adam Reed
The 22-year-old is targeting a fourth win
in five games for the Minstermen as they take on his hometown club Hartlepool United at the Victoria Stadium.

Former Burton Albion schemer Reed recently returned to York on a permanent basis following an earlier loan spell from Sunderland and appeared as a late substitute against Bristol Rovers last week.

"When I was at Burton, Hartlepool was the first fixture I looked out for at the start of the season. It's my favourite ground to play at," he admitted to The Press. "We lived about ten minutes from the ground when I was growing up so I used to watch and support them from the Town End every home game.

"I started going with my dad when I was so small that I couldn't even see the game really," Reed added. "My family will be there tomorrow and quite a few others from home will be wanting me to do well but hoping Hartlepool win."
