Defender boost for York

York City centre-back David McGurk should recover in time for the weekend visit to Fleetwood Town.

"If we do what we can do, we are capable of getting a good result" - Nigel Worthington
The 31-year-old suffered a back spasm late in the midweek home defeat to Chesterfield. He had earlier been responsible for a rare defensive slip as
the visitors emerged as comfortable 2-0 winners.

Striker Ryan Jarvis is again ruled out with an ankle injury as the Minstermen look for their first win in four games.

"Me, Steve [Torpey] and Richard [Dryden] went to their 0-0 draw at Scunthorpe on Monday and they are a decent side, make no mistake about that," manager Nigel Worthington told The Press. "We have got respect for them but, if we do what we can do, we are capable of getting a good result."
