North East Regional Premier Division leaders York City Ladies went down to a rare defeat at fourth-placed Guiseley on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors suffered a 3-2 reversal despite goals from Alicia Smith and Lisa Bjornstad after winning a penalty. Bethann Smith (2) and Tanya Rich replied for their opponents.

The Minsterbelles are replaced at the top of the table by former leaders Norton & Stockton Ancients following their narrow 1-0 success at bottom club Scunthorpe & Bottesford Ladies.

Meanwhile, York's reserves were not in action this weekend, and also lost their lead at the top of the division with Redcar Town triumphing 8-0 at Brompton Ladies.
