Penn scripts big finish

Skipper Russell Penn remains firmly focused on the play-offs going into York City's crucial home meeting with Bury this afternoon.

"There are probably still four teams going for two play-off places, but I am confident we have got all the credentials to get there" - Russell Penn
The Minstermen extended their own unbeaten run to fourteen games with a vital 1-0 win at Oxford United on Good Friday, moving them back into the top-seven and with a narrow two-point advantage over their hosts with just three games remaining.

"We would like to wrap up a play-off place as quickly as we can, of course, but I can see it going to the wire to be honest," Penn told The Press . "We will just be trying to do as well as we can in the games before then to see where that takes us but, if we have to go to Scunthorpe and get something, then so be it.

"There are probably still four teams going for two play-off places, but I am confident we have got all the credentials to get there," he added. "Hopefully, there will be a big crowd. It's a big game and a tough one because Bury have just started to hit good form but they won't want to come to our patch and we have just got to make it a fortress, as we have been doing."
