York City are being linked with a summer move for Walsall winger Nicky Featherstone.

"I'd have thought I'd be sitting down with the gaffer sometime next week" - Nicky Featherstone
The 25-year-old former Hull City trainee has appeared 28 times for the Saddlers this term but is out-of-contract at the end of the season.

Featherstone was already the subject of a possible loan move to Oldham Athletic in March and their boss Lee Johnson continues to watch his situation.

"I haven't given next season much thought as yet as up until the last few weeks we were in with a chance of the play-offs," Featherstone told SkySports. "But I'd have thought I'd be sitting down with the gaffer sometime next week so until then I don't know where I'll be."
