Nigel Worthington has already identified transfer targets as he aims to take York City a step further next season.

The former Northern Ireland boss also plans to speak with out-of-contract
players Lanre Oyebanjo, Michael Coulson, Adam Reed, Calvin Andrew, Tom Allan and Chris Dickinson, next week.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Nick Pope, defender Ben Davies and wingers Will Hayhurst and Ryan Brobbel are returning to their parent clubs.

"We have already identified targets and that is on the go all the while. We have a fantastic spine to the team and will be looking to add to the goalkeeping situation now," Worthington told The Press. "I will also be speaking to a group of players on Monday afternoon and another group on Tuesday afternoon about how we will be moving forward."
