York City have signed former Dagenham & Redbridge left-back Femi Ilesanmi on a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old made 32 appearances for the Daggers last season, until being released at the end of their campaign. That followed earlier spells with AFC Wimbledon, Queens Park Rangers and Ashford Town.

Born in Southwark, Ilesanmi totalled 133 senior appearances during his four seasons at Dagenham.

He has also had a previous sixteen-game loan stint with non-league Histon, which immediately followed his arrival in Essex back in July 2010.
