York City have announced an increase in their ticket prices ahead of the new season.

"Watching professional football at York City still represents fantastic value when compared with ticket prices at rival clubs" - Nigel Worthington
Season tickets are now on sale but have marginally risen in cost while match-day admission is increasing by 1.

An adult season ticket in the David Longhurst Stand lists at 275 if purchased before 30th June, which is an increase of 20 on last year. Meanwhile, the revised price on the turnstile is 18.

However, those supporters aged under-12 can still obtain a season ticket anywhere in the ground for just 50.

Most season tickets will cost more if they are acquired after the end of June, with the club maintaining a three-stage pricing structure, although once again fans may pay in instalments.

"The club has obviously taken the difficult decision to make a small increase in the price of a ticket for next season," manager Nigel Worthington told The Press. "It is not a decision the club has taken lightly. Everyone is aware these are still difficult times economically for a lot of people.

"But the increase has been kept to a minimum and watching professional football at York City still represents fantastic value when compared with ticket prices at rival clubs."
