Marvin McCoy revealed he required no second invitation after learning York City wanted to sign him.

"Once I knew York were interested there wasn't much else to think about" - Marvin McCoy
The 25-year-old Antigua and Barbuda international right-back was soon
identified as the man to replace Lanre Oyebanjo following his recent move to Crawley Town.

Six-times capped McCoy has appeared more than a hundred times for the Chairboys over the past four seasons but believes he can really develop his own game serving under another former international full-back, York boss Nigel Worthington.

"The manager showed a good interest in me and I am looking to learn from him," McCoy told The Press. "I study football so I was aware of his career and, when we played York City, I thought the team was really good.

"Once I knew York were interested there wasn't much else to think about, to be honest with you," he added. "I know it will further my career and any move that is going to do that I am up for it."
