Former York City striker Clayton Donaldson could be poised for a move to Birmingham City.

The 30-year-old netted eighteen goals to head the scoring charts at promoted Brentford last season.

However, Donaldson is out-of-contract at Griffin Park in a fortnight and available on a free transfer.

Birmingham boss Lee Clark is keen to secure his services despite the Bees already offering him a new deal, while Bolton Wanderers and Rotherham United are similarly keen.

But no decision will be reached until Donaldson returns from his honeymoon in the United States.
