Former York City loan striker Chris Iwelumo has signed for Conference Premier outfit Chester on a one-year deal.

"He's experienced, big and strong and will be a real handful to play against" - Steve Burr
The 35-year-old veteran was released by Scottish Cup winners St Johnstone at the end of last season.

Four-times capped by Scotland, Iwelumo already has more than a century of senior goals to his credit during a professional career stretching over 500 games.

"Chris will be a big addition to the squad and like the rest of the lads we've got together, he can't wait to get started," manager Steve Burr told Chester's official website. "He's experienced, big and strong and he will be a real handful to play against."
