CGC Events Ltd have been named as the new operators of the club bar at Bootham Crescent.

"York City recognises how important the bar is to supporters and CGC have a terrific track record" - John McGhee
The current licensee is to leave The Pitchside Bar on 31st July and CGC will complete a short refit before re-opening prior to the first home game of the season against Bradford City on 12th August.

"I am delighted that after considering a number of options and opportunities, we have decided that CGC will take over the running of the bar," Football Club General Manager John McGhee told York's official website. "York City recognises how important the bar is to supporters and CGC have a terrific track record with the Club having operated the food stalls at the ground so successfully for the past two years.

"CGC will be the operators of the bar and food facilities at the new stadium and so this gives both them and the supporters an opportunity to work together to make sure that what is provided there meets the needs of everyone."
