Video: 'Wembley Twice' highlight for record winner
York City defender Daniel Parslow unsurprisingly includes being an integral part of the famous 'Wembley Twice' team amongst the absolute highlights of his playing career.
The 31-year-old Welshman is already a record three-times 'Clubman of the Year' and rapidly closing in on 350 senior appearances at Bootham Crescent. He notably featured in both Wembley triumphs of May 2012 and has now represented the Minstermen at the national stadium on four separate occasions - and was an unused substitute for a fifth.
Meanwhile, stalwart Parslow nominated Jon Parkin as the funniest of his current team-mates: "Probably Parky," he told York's official YouTube channel. "His broad Barnsley accent travels a mile and he's always got something quite quick-witted to say - usually about my dress sense!"
The former Welsh Under-21 international centre-back also revealed that he was always bright at school while achieving numerous top grades at both GCSE and 'A' level - and has since gained a sports science degree.
Given that level of academic success he would probably have selected a law career if not becoming a professional footballer, although now ideally wanting to remain in sport after his retirement.
