Skipper to receive award

Supporters' club the Cliffe Minstermen are finally presenting their latest player of the year award later this week.

Skipper Sean Newton is to receive the trophy on Thursday evening [5th October] at the New Inn, Cliffe, with proceedings getting underway from 6.30pm.

The group, also responsible for the popular YFront fanzine, are inviting fellow City fans to come along for the presentation and accompanying Q&A session.

There could also be further player representation from the football club on the night.

Cliffe Minstermen were formed around four years ago by a handful of York fanatics living in the North Yorkshire village.
