Futsal slip single place

York City Futsal slipped only a single place following their weekend defeat in Manchester.

The National Super League newcomers are currently sixth in the table with still a game in hand on most of their rivals.

New signing Sergio Sedeno, Fabinho Almeida and Jamie Bettson were each on target in a late 5-3 reversal at the National Cycling Centre.

Reading Escolla actually remain top of the division following a third straight victory at the previously unbeaten London Helvecia - but only by a narrow 4-3 scoreline.

Meanwhile, FC Salisbury United are the other club still with a 100% record having overcome Cambridge United 8-5.

Elsewhere, London City accounted for Tranmere Rovers 4-1, while Oxford City Lions moved off the bottom with a 7-5 success at Loughborough.

The Minstermen have their first home fixture of the season when taking on surprise-packages Salisbury at the University of York Sports Centre on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 4.30pm).

Weekend Results: FC Salisbury United 8-5 Cambridge; London City 4-1 Tranmere; London Genesis P-P Birmingham; London Helvecia 3-4 Reading Escolla; Loughborough 5-7 Oxford City; Manchester 5-3 York City
