City Futsal slip single place

City Futsal slip single place

York City Futsal slipped only a single place in the table following their weekend defeat at Oxford City Lions.

The Minstermen suffered a second reversal in four games as their opponents leapfrogged them in the table with a 2-0 success.

City were eventually undone by a goal in each half from Ruben Fernandez and Denilson Silva and as a result drop to sixth in the National Super League.

That has Reading Escolla remaining three points clear courtesy of a 4-2 victory in Manchester, with FC Salisbury United recovering from their recent defeat against York by triumphing 6-4 at London Genesis.

Meanwhile, London Helvecia stay third as they thumped Birmingham 8-2, and Loughborough notably moved off the bottom after crushing Tranmere Rovers 9-3.

They are replaced by Cambridge United despite rescuing a very late point in a 3-3 draw at London City.

Weekend Results: London City 3-3 Cambridge United; London Genesis 4-6 FC Salisbury United; London Helvecia 8-2 Birmingham; Loughborough 9-3 Tranmere Rovers; Manchester 2-4 Reading Escolla; Oxford City Lions 2-0 York City
