Video: Midfielder close to return
York City midfielder Clovis Kamdjo is getting ever-closer to returning to action.
The 26-year-old Cameroon-born enforcer has been sidelined for the past year since suffering cruciate ligament damage at Eastleigh in November 2016.
However, Kamdjo is currently within two to three weeks of resuming full training, and should finally make his reserve team comeback in January.
"He's been different class since I've come to the club," City's physio Ian Gallagher told York's official YouTube channel. "He's made great progress.
"When I first arrived [in August], his knee was not in the best of places so we have worked solely on his strength, his power, and his quad. His knee has settled down, he's just working every single day and is a pleasure to work with.
"But rather than rush him back - he's been out that long - we're just keeping the reins on him, getting his fitness levels up to go back training with the lads," he added. "I'd like to think he's about two or three weeks away from fully training again."
