Former skipper back at York

Former skipper Simon Heslop is back with York City after a month away at Eastleigh.

The 30-year-old midfielder completed a handful of appearances on loan to the Spitfires while including a single goal during their 3-3 draw at FC Halifax Town.

Heslop was previously an automatic choice for hometown club York, with three goals in seventeen games this season until recently advising he wanted to leave Bootham Crescent.

He also made 52 appearances and scored five times for the Minstermen last term while leading them towards a second Wembley FA Trophy final victory in five years.
