Striker set for York move

Striker set for York move

York City are ready to sign striker Raul Correia on loan from Blackpool, according to reports.

The 24-year-old Portuguese forward agreed an eighteen-month deal with the Seasiders twelve months ago having arrived for an undisclosed fee from Radcliffe Borough.

Correia struck eleven goals in 22 games for the Evo-Stik First Division North outfit following an earlier spell with Chorley.

He actually made his Blackpool debut in last night's Football League Trophy defeat to Shrewsbury Town, while previously including an eleven-game and single-goal loan stay at National League strugglers Guiseley.

However, The Press are this afternoon reporting that a move to Bootham Crescent could be imminent.
