Striker signs for City

York City have confirmed the arrival of striker Raul Correia on loan from Blackpool until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old made his Seasiders' debut in last night's penalty shoot-out defeat to Shrewsbury Town in the Football League Trophy.

Portuguese Correia previously enjoyed a successful spell at non-league Radcliffe Borough, netting eleven times in 22 games until signing an eighteen-month contract with Blackpool in January 2017.

He's also had an eleven-game loan stay with National League strugglers Guiseley this season, scoring once in a 1-1 draw at Wrexham in September.
