Video: Midfielder available for weekend
Midfielder Alex Pattison has recovered from a knock and is available for the weekend visit of Alfreton Town to Bootham Crescent.
The 20-year-old Middlesbrough loanee had to be replaced early during the latest 4-1 debacle at Curzon Ashton but was again expected to line-up on Saturday.
"He was back in training Tuesday/Wednesday," manager Martin Gray confirmed to BBC Radio York. "So he's available for selection."
Meanwhile, with 25-goal leading marksman Jon Parkin suspended for the next three games following his sending-off in Greater Manchester, newcomer Alex Kempster, 22, could earn a full debut having scored when coming off the bench at the weekend.
"He was the shining light that came out of the day; not only his goal and header [that hit the crossbar], but his performance," Gray continued. "He's been a breath of fresh air since he's come into the club.
"I love his mentality; the kid that's come from nowhere and wants to stay in this building and be a professional footballer. It's really refreshing that you have that because that creates real energy and positivity around the club."
Defender Connor Brown is another definitely available having already collected four cautions since coming to Bootham Crescent last month: "Officially he's on fifteen [bookings], but four in our league, so he's available," Gray added.
Striker Louis Almond is also in the frame having continued his comeback while missing a penalty for the reserves in midweek.
