York City set themselves a real high benchmark during the first-half against Scunthorpe United in midweek and will be hopeful they can maintain something approaching those levels at Cheltenham Town on Saturday. The Robins have experienced a slow start to their campaign having been in the play-offs for the past couple of seasons. However, there have been definite signs of a recovery with recent victories against Morecambe, Dagenham & Redbridge and AFC Wimbledon. But like their latest opponents, their form continues to be generally mixed and just a single-point currently separates these two inconsistent teams in the table.
"The question we need to ask ourselves after Tuesday is 'Can we do that for a few games in a row?'," manager Nigel Worthington told BBC Radio York. "I think there's been a good level of consistency through the season with a couple of games that have let us down. It will be a battle but if we're prepared and compete to the level we can then we can get a result."
Cheltenham hope to have forward Ashley Vincent returning along with midfielder Jermaine McGlashan. Craig Braham-Barrett should also be available despite suffering a facial injury during the recent defeat to Rochdale. But defender Steve Elliott is doubtful with a knee injury.
Ashley Vincent should be available for the hosts
Veteran 38-year-old striker who arrived from Exeter City in the summer and has since responded with three goals in eight appearances.
Jamie Cureton has always been a regular goalscorer
Northern Ireland winger Josh Carson is a doubt for the visitors following a tight hamstring during the win against Scunthorpe. He was due to be assessed today. Defender Luke O'Neill should continue after extending his current loan until the New Year. Defenders Tom Allan and Chris Smith once again challenge for the recent vacancy caused by David McGurk's hamstring injury. Leading scorer Ryan Jarvis was on the bench in midweek and must oust either Wes Fletcher or Ryan Bowman to reclaim a place.

York have won once and drawn three times in five previous visits to Whaddon Road in the Football League. Team: Fettis, Edmondson, Jones (Fairclough), Swan, Bower, Hawkins, Agnew, Hulme, Fox (Alcide), Conlon (J. Williams), Sertori. Their latest visit finished 1-1 in Janaury 2013 courtesy of Jason Walker's equaliser.
